TWILIGHT DRAMA:

Centennial Academy students were treated to a very special assembly Thursday, November 19th, 2009 when Rachelle Lefevre, graduate of Centennial's Class of 1996 and star of the very popular Twilight movie series and the upcoming film version of Mordecai Richler's Barney's Version with Paul Giammatti, visited her alma mater. Rachelle was very generous with her time and told students during the assembly what Centennial meant to her. She posed for pictures with students, signed autographs and signed her yearbook in the library. Students were thrilled to have such a celebrity visit them and were very proud to know that Rachelle had some of the same teachers they do!

Centennial extends a standing invitation to all alumni to drop in at any time; take a tour and a trip down memory lane; stay connected through volunteering at Centennial events and activities. Want to be a judge at Science Fair? Help out back stage - or be in the limelight at the Talent Show?

Giving back to Centennial by making a gift, is an important way of making sure that today's students have every opportunity, both inside and outside the classroom, to reach their potential.

Alumni can appreciate better than anyone the difference that a Centennial education makes. Centennial's Annual Campaign provides support in four areas:
1. Bursaries and scholarships, that can change a student's life
2. Technological enhancements, to stay on the cutting edge
3. Curriculum and academic enhancements, to provide opportunities beyond classroom teaching and learning
4. Head's priorities, to respond to urgent needs

Last year, thanks to Annual Campaign contributions, Centennial was able to provide over $80,000 in bursaries and scholarships, complete the installation of projectors and screens in all classrooms, additional materials for the Library. Thank you!
